Readers, I am very sorry to have to tell you that Jan Marton and Ales Brotanek very well know that I am not going to take part of this 'conference'. This is the mail they received yesterday morning:
--------
Jan,
Please cancel me from your show.
Don't tell me you haven't been warned strongly enough: This was last bit of your infamous manipulation I'm going to put up with.

Max
---------
Jan Marton responded to it, and it is clear there is no way this can be misinterpreted. Only reason to post this invitation to this e-list is another manipulation.
Yes, I did initiate the theme already last spring when I offered to present our research about this matter: You are welcome to download the 80 page .pdf report from our site:
http://permalot.org/files/u2/BBB1228Final.pdf

The people managing Ekodum o.s. has consistantly been afraid of allowing me to present facts illustrating that the 4 principles for passive house building can be used to make buildings which will never be able to save energy! Their fear is what founded this conference idea, and which now have taken a shape I can not accept: The headline, illustrations and program, is directly against the root of the problem:
Fact is that 'PD' principles allow any materials to be used to construct a house. Add to this the energy consumption of various means of heating/ventilation during life time, and disposal of construction materials after a 50 year lifespan, and you will find that some Passive houses only have served to save money for the owner, but cost the same for society as any normal house in terms of CO2. Another fact is that anyone looking into the data behind a LCA, will agree that it is a selective and narrow process which easily can be manipulated.

This is the knowledge which I personally find is valuable for people to be aware of when designing a PD house: Naturally it is possible to make it much better, especially with large straw-bales and minimum processed wood.

Please don't believe the constant manipulations of Jan Marton and Ales Brotanek: It is not a question of me not showing up for the event; I made them very clear I was never going to take part (and lend my name, or the name of PermaLot to) this non-scientific fractionalized glorification of Passive House and Life Cycle Assessment.

To those of you who are members of Ekodum o.s.:
Try to question why all Ekodum courses has to include Ales Brotanek?
Try to question why no subject not share by Ales Brotanek is allow to be presented at Ekodum meetings?
Try to question why there were no board election at last General assembly?
Try to question why there is intense resistance from the board to get a charter of Ethics?
Try to question who has been the biggest sub-contractor of grants to Ekodum?
Try to question why the by-laws of the organization is not respected?
