Greetings for the new year, and may it bring more sustainable housing to C.R!

I would like to share my university study of cost and embodied energy in 2 passive house models in Czech with you. Please email me for the .pdf Apart from the actual conclusions, you will also notice a new concept of straw bale (SB) building which is gaining speed in several other countries. The concept fascinates me and I hope we will introduce it in C.R. soon.

I believe we are at an important time of SB building in C.R. now and there is important lessons to learn from abroad.
For instance in both Denmark and Austria the general public know about SB, but in Denmark it is believed it's mainly for 'do it yourself' people, where in Austria it's typically for expensive prestige homes. I believe it is important that we all gain a more united idea about how to influence the public and authorities: So much depends on which building sites the TV/magazines are filming at, and at what stage of the building process. ...and imagine what would happen if a (not finished) well known straw bale house burns down?

I will soon start another 4 month study (as part of my civil engineer degree in Environmental Management) which has to be more social/political focused. It is likely that I will focus on trying to recommend an optimal way to promote SB in C.R. I would appreciate to do the study together with a Czech student: Do any of you happen to know someone who would be interested?
